Amsterdam, Netherlands

Jordaan

Cosmopolitan Party

From Mülheim, Amsterdam is an hour and half bus ride away or more -- depending on the traffic. The first thing you'll notice is the crowd, I did not expect Amsterdam to be that crowded and yes the smell of weed is definitely present. I met people who worked in cafes and restaurants and they were all fluent in English and friendly with a genuine smile. It truly surprised me just how multicultural Amsterdam is; you have British and South American people working in cafes. At least visit it once in your life. I unfortunately didn't have all day to explore as I was on an afternoon trip with relatives. That's my taste of the land of clogs, tulips and windmills.
